Altivar 1260 Medium Voltage Drives Page 25 Rectifier

Altivar 1260 MV variable speed drive Rectifier power stack (DFE) 25 Removable module consists of a set of press-pack semiconductors (diodes) which require pressure to be applied at assembly to maintain the contact between their electric terminals and their proper cooling Reduces internal losses of the semiconductor due to the elimination of wired electrical connections and cooling both sides of the semiconductor helps maximize life Each of these modules is connected to its corresponding phase in order to rectify it and provide direct voltage in the DC bus of the equipment The diodes are provided with ultra-fast fuses in the event of a short circuit or prolonged overload. Each rectifier power stack has 6 fuses that interrupt current flow if necessary. Each fuse has fusion detection, so it is capable of informing the converter control that a problem has occurred in the rectifier line The rectifier stack monitors potential over temperature using a thermostat set at 85C that informs the control once this limit is exceeded 12 pulse DFE power stack Press-pack diode Electrical diagram of the DFE (12-pulse) rectifier Ultra-fast fuses Elements in one stack Component Characteristics 12 pulse rectifier stack Dimensions (HxWxD) 8.5 x 20 x 24.6 inches Weight: 118.4 lbs Overtemperature protection: Thermostat set at 85 degrees C
