Motor thermal protection The theoretical temperature rise of the motor is continuously calculated to provide indirect thermal protection. Thermal protection is adjustable from 0.2 to 1.5 times the nominal drive current. This function is suitable for all applications with self-cooled motors. Drive thermal protection Thermal protection, by a PTC probe mounted on the heatsink or integrated in the power module, ensures that the drive is protected in the event of poor ventilation or excessive ambient temperatures. Locks the drive in the event of a detected fault. R1/R2 relay configuration The following states are signalled when the relay is powered on: Drive detected fault Drive running Frequency threshold reached High speed reached Current threshold reached Frequency reference reached Motor thermal threshold reached Brake sequence (R2 only)
